PLEATED POLYESTER: S1 cartridges are composed of non-woven pleated polyester, which provides a higher wet-strength than traditional cellulose cartridges. The non-woven media allows for higher flow-rates, while the pleated design creates more surface area for increased retention of sediment particles while maintaining a lower pressure drop.
